Sketchbook – Part 5
Below I have added a video showing some of the pages from my sketchbook that have helped me develop visual ideas for this part of the course. A further selection can be found on each page within my Personal Project as reference to development of, and finished work.
Previous feedback from my tutor suggested different ways of recording ideas and putting together sketchbooks.
As I started these exercises, I found that I had no books to hand, and with the shops shut under the current CV19 crisis, I chose to use (or re-use) paper from my scraps box. How liberating, I loved a new found freedom of using different paper sizes and paper types, which in turn led to the use of many different media; no longer tied to the same size page and paper welded together at the margin, I could not only throw the paper around as I worked but also found that I had space in which to express, not only on the paper but in environs immediately around me. Hope that makes sense!
Consequently from the humble beginnings of Part 1 with hardly a few pages of ideas, I can now in Part 5, only just about close the A3 binder that I am storing my work in. Note: not all pages are included in this video.
